Excellence Through Exposure
Our mission is to help black and brown youth tap into their excellence and empower them to be self-sufficient and pursue opportunities that can create financial stability for their future.
Professional soccer player, Amobi Okugo, founded the Ok U Go Foundation in 2019 after being inspired to take action beyond the community work he was doing with his team. Ok U Go, a play off of Amobi’s last name, was formed to help provide access and opportunity to children in underserved communities, and encourage them to GO for their goals and aspirations.
Our team is made up of Sacramento-native community leaders and volunteers who are committed to creating an impact in our hometown and beyond. We take our convictions and turn them into actions and effective programs to inspire youth to succeed.
The Ok U Go Foundation ("OUGF") is operating through a fiscal sponsorship with Players Philanthropy Fund (Federal Tax ID: 27-6601178), a Maryland charitable trust with federal tax-exempt status as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to OUGF are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
